Reservation Policy

The Union Gables is an exclusive property where every guest reservation is both important and special to us.

FOR RESERVATIONS DURING THE SARATOGA RACING SEASON (2015 Racing Season: Mid July - Labor Day exact dates TBA by NYRA in mid-January 2015)

A $100 deposit is required to hold the reservation paid by credit card. No rooms are held without a credit card on file.

PAYMENT BY CHECK PAYABLE To: Union Gables, mailed to: Union Gables, 55 Union Avenue, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866

PAYMENT PLAN: 2 payments of 50% each from total due (minus the $100 deposit)
• PAYMENT 1: check received by January 15, 2015
• PAYMENT 2: check received by April 30, 2015

If a check is not received by a payment date, please be advised that you will forfeit ANY deposits for the reservation and we have the right to cancel the reservation.

CANCELLATION POLICY FOR THE SARATOGA RACING SEASON:
If cancelled prior to January 15th, please be advised that a refund of $75 (by check mailed) will be refunded. A $25 processing fee is applied for all cancellations.
If cancelled after January 15, 2015: A refund is given ONLY if the room has been re-rented equal to the dates reserved. If re-rented, a refund check is mailed minus the $25 cancellation fee. If original payment or partial payment was made with a credit card, 5% from the total refund amount will be subtracted for credit card fees incurred from the initial transaction(s).

FOR RESERVATIONS DURING SPECIAL EVENT WEEKENDS*
At the time of booking, your credit card on file will be charged a $100 deposit to hold the reservation and is applied towards the balance of the reservation. No rooms are held without a credit card on file.

CANCELLATION POLICY FOR SPECIAL WEEKENDS:
You may cancel this reservation, in writing or e-mail. A refund is given ONLY if the room has been re-rented equal to the dates reserved. If re-rented, a refund check is mailed minus the $25 cancellation fee. If original payment or partial payment was made with a credit card, 5% from the total refund amount will be subtracted for credit card fees incurred from the initial transaction(s).
* SPECIAL WEEKENDS INCLUDE: SKIDMORE GRADUATION, MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND, 4TH OF JULY WEEKEND, NEW YEAR’S EVE AND ALL MAJOR SPAC CONCERTS (TBA).

FOR RESERVATIONS OTHER THAN SPECIAL EVENT WEEKENDS
Your credit card on file will be charged within 72 hours (three (3)) days prior to your arrival, and your receipt is emailed to you unless you request a printed receipt at check-in. If your travel plans change and you must cancel your reservation, please call us at least three (3) days prior to your arrival date to cancel your reservation. All cancellations will be charged a $25 processing fee.

Group reservations: For five (5) or more rooms reserved, a 25% down payment is required at the time of booking payable by check and mailed within 10 business days of placing the reservation. In the unlikely event that you must cancel please understand that we must ask you to take responsibility for your entire reservation. If we can re-book your room(s), a full refund will be made, minus the cancellation fee ($25) for each room reserved.

Events: All event fees are non-refundable.

Keys: Please be advised that keys not returned to the Innkeeper will incur a $50 charge.

Check-in time: 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM. If arriving outside of check-in times, please call us to make arrangements. (518) 584-1558.

Check-out time: 11:00 AM.
Absolutely No Smoking inside, however designated outdoor smoking areas are available.

Pets are allowed in seven (7) of our guest rooms with an additional pet fee. Please respect our pet rules, which are given to you upon arrival.

Children: Throughout the year, we welcome children twelve (12) years of age and older.

GIFT CERTIFICATE POLICIES
Gift certificates MUST be noted when making the reservation and presented at check-in along with a valid driver's license. Gift certificates are not transferable. Any remaining amount on gift certificates can be used at a later day up to the expiration date. Gift certificates cannot be redeemed for cash.
